POKO’s approach to community redevelopment begins with establishing community partnerships with public agencies and local organizations and not-for-profit partners in all phases of planning, development, construction and management.
POKO aligns itself with the municipalities and government agencies throughout the Tri-State Area in order to meet necessary requirements, negotiate approvals, gain funding and develop each project on time and on budget:
Working to improve social conditions in some of the challenged areas in which it builds, POKO works closely with its not-for-profit partners who play an important role with local governments, property residents and the community at-large:Â
POKO has also coordinated efforts with community policing to improve safety and security of residents and neighbors.
Land Use Approvals
POKO consistantly delivers results that make a differnce in the communities it serves, successfully coordinating and negotiating projects through the Land Use approvals process with NYC Community Boards, NYC Councilpersons and Borough Presidents, and local planning and redevelopment agencies and commissions.
